Terrell’s son, Clayton Reagan, posted this picture and tribute to his father on Instagram. He included several other photos. To see the entire montage, visit his Instagram page.
With heavy hearts we said good by to our father last week. He was a movie star, author, business man, father and an absolute force of nature. He was always quick with a joke, unapologetically himself, never short on stories, and saw an adventure at every corner. I like to think he passed these traits on to me.
We shared a birthday and this last year he was in Austin I was fortunate to share many good times with him as well. We rocked out to Elvis to the very end. He will be missed. See you on the other side “Slick Silver.”
Stan Lennard: I have been thinking about Terrell. Our last communication was about four years ago. I sent him an e-mail two days ago ( feb 27) and now learn that he has passed away. He was a very interesting man. He wrote a book about his four years in Viet Nam, and I recommend it. We are losing more and more wonderful members of our class. So proud to be a Class of 60 Waco Tiger!
Nanci Stiteler Felice: So sorry to hear it!
Malissa Starnes Baugh: Terrell was my 7th grade boyfriend. I plan to go to the service here, if possible
Cathey White Land: I remember Terrell well and it hits home to hear of his death. Neither of us had a date and attended senior prom together. There was a group from our class that went to same church and all our parents were really close friends: Terrell, Betty Vaughn, Danny Houser, Janell Gooch and Charles Holley (class of ‘59). Terrell was wild & crazy (meant in nicest way). Does anyone else remember a reunion “after party” in the hotel where he mooned everyone from a balcony? Good times!
Mickey Lavy: “Thanks for sharing this really good obit of R.T. We were neighbors in 7th grade North Jr. Hi and explored the canyons around our houses. In our neighborhood were Monnig, Dana Sauer, and Carol Adams. We’d get together and look for trouble (fun). Then those two athletes would drift away and I’d need a smoke. Shoulda gone joggin, instead. Terrell was a friend to everyone.”
Bev Murphy Wells:” I didn’t know Terrell but knew of him. He was quite the adventurer! Loved his obit, especially replacing chicken and chocolate for flowers and his grandchildren calling him Bebop! Enjoyed reading about all of his experiences…his penchant for amusement pushed the gauge to an exhilarating life. I admire him for his service to our country and will look into obtaining his book. He really took on life and ended well! Regrets I didn’t get his autograph!”
Tim Lasseter Latta: “Terrell’s passing is the end of an era. He was absolutely one of a kind. I’ve never known anyone like him.”
SuEllen Golden Wilson: “So sad to hear about our dear, fun friend Terrell’s passing. Heaven must have Angels with a smile now that he has joined them.”
