With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wayne Kent Green of Waco, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

Wayne Kent left this world on June 18, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people.

Wayne was born February 22, 1941, in Waco. His parents were Brantley William Green and Beatrice McBride Green. He attended Waco public schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1960.

He owned several businesses in Waco, including Western Union and worked at Walmart in Bellmead, TX until retiring in 2006.

Wayne had a soft heart and a generous spirit but was not shy about offering his opinion. Small children and pets adored him. He enjoyed the theater and often traveled to Dallas or Ft. Worth to see touring Broadway shows. No stranger to good food, he knew practically every restaurant worth mentioning in the Central Texas area. Wayne was especially fond of Mexican, German and Mediterranean foods and a good steak. He walked the Mall for several years, making good friends while doing so. He wanted to say special thanks to Connie Williams and Maxine Hansen for all the good times they shared lunching and going to garage sales.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Brantley and Beatrice Green; sister, Esther Marr; brother, Thomas Green.

He is survived by a close circle of friends: Malcolm Norwood, Stephanie Robert, Cynthia Rodgers and Cliff and Vickie Kroll who will miss him greatly.
